A quick note to say thanks to Martin and his crew for the great job they did removing a "leaning" tree in our backyard. Because of the location, one of the men had to climb the tree, which made the job more dangerous. We watched the tree sway from his weight as he climbed higher and then he stopped and started cutting. He laid the tree top right where he said it would fall; we were amazed at the accuracy!!! Not only did they cut down the tree, they did a fantastic job cleaning up the mess!!! "No standing around watching -- they all worked hard and very fast!" We have hired them to come back later this summer to remove two much larger trees. Once again, one of them will have to climb to get the job done. We highly recommend this company to anyone who needs this type of service! Thanks again!
I have a property on the South branch that had several mature Oak trees that were diseased with oak wilt. I had read several articles that suggested that to avoid the spread of the disease it is recommended that the trees be cut in the dormant months from November to April. I contacted Martin to inspect the trees and make his recommendation. He confirmed the trees had Oak Wilt and suggested the trees be cut. His crew came in The 1st part of January 2020 and removed the trees. They did a great job, minimal damage to property and surrounding trees which was very important to us.I'm very pleased with the job and highly recommend Martin and his crew for any tree trimming or removal.

I hired Martin Schilbe Tree Care to remove 6 trees from our Houghton Lake condo association. Martin was very prompt about returning my calls. His crew were on time when he said they would be there. The job they did was phenomenal! We had some very large trees that were situated right next to a cottage and garages. The crew knew exactly how to bring the trees down in a way that never even came close to our buildings. They did a great job of bringing down the trees, cleaning up the branches, and grinding the stumps. They did an extremely efficient job and were able to complete it quickly and with no damage to the property (buildings or ground).
